"Blessings" a California Hillside Garden part 2

The sides of the house are flanked with the orchard on one side and what I call my "Color Garden" on the other. It is now in major remodel mode, so I will skip all pics of the area, safe to say, hopefully next summer we will reterrace all the retaining walls and beds, add 2 arbors, a fountain, a bridge and DEER fences in the area. over time the deer have taken to devouring almost everything I grow, reclaiming this section will allow me to grow my favorite perennials long time missing... I call it my color garden because I used to grow several 100 of flats of annuals to keep the color constant, but deer long ago stopped that process!

The challenges of living on a hill are many, but the most irritating is the added time value. The simplest of tasks are tripled in time from a logistic standpoint. my husband and I do EVERYTHING, for me it my passion and enjoyment, for my husband it just endless chores... BUT, he does indulge me! As long as I see dirt, my mind is forever creating, designing and dreaming. my wonderful husband brings my dream to life with all this hard work, many skills and time... here is just a sample of his many hands on help~
