The general consensus at Kew is that Wisley is a garden without a soul. Wonderfully maintained, some great plants but it almost looks as if for each plant planted a commitee of 12 people must vote on it.

They sure can grow Delphiniums though!

I have to learn to grow these..
I did buy a flat..and they are planted but small.
My daughter direct sowed seeds last year..they grew.. a bit..this year HUGE..
I must apply myself.
I just love them to bits and your photos are making me yearn for them .

Thanks for the magnificent photos Kaveh.
It's been a few years since I last went to Wisley. But they sure can grow delphiniums. Did you see the red strain they have been breeding? Very spectacular but not yet fully commercialised for release I think.
