Here is the part of my garden where I grow delphinium. In this area I have several varieties - King Arthur 'Pacific Giant' (the really tall one - probably 7 feet high!), Bellamosum, Blue Butterfly, Pennant, Blackmore & Langdon elatum. We're expecting strong storms tonight so they may all be on the ground tomorrow :( I've tried supporting them with whatever I had available. If they're still standing tomorrow I'll try to get some close-ups.

They are beautiful Susan, hope they weather the storm. If not, I hope you get to salvage some for a bouquet. Good luck!

They are absolutely gorgeous, Susan. You are so lucky! Every single delphinium I have planted has died! I love them so much, why won't they grow for me?????

I would think they would love your cool weather, Lucy!
Mine are in rich, humus-y soil and only get morning and early afternoon sun.
