Buddies may remember I posted some black delphiniums from a seed strain called "bitter chocolate last summer well here are two more selected to develop a black flower and a black flower with white stripes. Not quite there yet but getting closer.

I do like them (I think). They look like interesting hairy insects. I wonder what the effect of a whole flowering plant is like.

I'm new here and this is my first ever post but I just had to say... Wow! I love those delphiniums! That colour would look super with dark red roses I'd imagine, actually being so close to black it should go with almost any colour. I wonder if we'll ever get them over here (New Zealand), we have alot of red tape and it's jolly hard to get new plants in.
