Hi Serenitybench, I actually had about 200 plants lined out in rows ... what a fool am I to have planted so MANY! With my upcoming move, I had marked about 70 plants (the pink ribbon you see) in which I had kept for myself ... again, what a FOOL for keeping so MANY! But, on the bright side, I had given away well over 100 beauties for others to enjoy. Next year I MUST winnow that number down to a more manageable amount! Terry

Is the picture color true to form? It is quite stunning.

No, I don't think that is foolish. I am sure it is quite loverly. When I moved last August, I dug up all my plants that I could , Was too ill to do anything with them so, I left them in boxes and planters under an appletree all winter, Just as I dug them. And about 95% lived, Just like they were left, And I am zone 5. Take as many plants when you move as you can.

Serenitybench, yes, seems that when we are unwell, for the most our plants quickly become of insignificance. I HOPE you have made a complete recovery! I have hundreds and hundreds of perennials needing to be moved this fall, though the weather is now not looking very good ... besides, I still need to have soil hauled in and and a large holding area made ... maybe, old man winter will do his thing before I can?

Bluesibe, the photo shows the coloring as a bit more saturated than it really is, though not too far off. This is one of my favorites of all my delphiniums. Terry

Yes! Full recovery after 10 months of doctors and 6 weeks on sofa with leg above heart. Good as can be expected. If I could I would help you move your plants. They will do better than you think they will. You just have to have FAITH! and Spring will come again and your heart will sing!

Serenitybench, GOOD to hear that you've made a full recovery. The airplane ticket is now in the mail, so I'll expect you here on Tuesday with your willingness to assist! Actually, the new owner has given me great news, in that I can just leave the perennials here till spring. He's a genuine fellow and I have no worries about doing so.

Lucky you to be able to leave them.!! If I didn't have to paint next week, it would of been tempting.
