Maybe coffee grinds will allow you to put them into other locations. This comes from the hosta forum-hope it helps!

I think delphiniums do need sun to flower well.
If coffee works it would be great, but there is also a kind of slug poison that is harmless to all other animals and to the environment. Here it is called Ferramol, maybe it is also available where you are?

I agree that Delphiniums do their beautiful best in sun.
Good luck and hope you find a good place for them.

Best bet is to grow aconitums, there are now quite a few available in different colours and flowering seasons and they love shade. Also they don't need staking and slugs won't eat them, they're poisonous.(How do they know?)

You can order Ferramol from the Web. I found at least one site that would send it to Croatia, if you are interested.
It is the only slug poison I use because it is harmless not only to pets but also to hedgehogs that eat slugs. It isn't quite as effective as the stronger poisons but it does work. I sprinkled Ferramol on my delphiniums in early spring as they emerged and now they are huge and in full flower :-)
