Delphinium http://Delphin.notlong.com 15 June 2007 Delphinium This delphinium was planted in 2004, and it gave one small spike the first year. Since then, it has produced more spikes yearly. A shovel full of compost is put on top each year. It starts growing in the spring when there is still snow on the ground. When the first flowering is done, it is cut back to ground level, and there will be new blooms later in the season. These are not as spectacular as the first bloom, but still attractive. I will update when the plant is fully blooming. http://www.durgan.org/Blog/Durgan.html
