I had to snip a few because they were bending over so far they were touching the ground...
There are some pink buds out there too, but not quite open yet. This is from the bush that's so much bigger than the other. Turns out, that bush is actually two stuck together I guess, because there are these white blooms and the pink ones just behind. No wonder it's so much bigger!

Huge flowers! I always try and stake my plants very early as it is such a shame when they start to bend over and get ruined. And why does it always rain when they bloom!

When we bought this house in March, the Peonies weren't even visible. Then once they started growing, I didn't know what they were (newbie!) and by the time I figured it out, I was afraid to try to stake or cage them for fear of damaging them. So now I've got them flopping all over the place! I'll definately support them next year though! And this Fall I'm going to have to divide them, which sort of scares me because I'm terrified when I do it I'll hurt them somehow. The bushes have been here over 20 years and came from the home's original owner's grandmother. I'd hate to loose that history! I've got plenty of time to learn between now and then though.
