The pictures can't do it justice. I spotted this yesterday while I was driving to my parents house....almost caused an accident...

It's huge and just covered in the most perfect blooms...there's actually two of them. I have never seen anything like this before.

I'm assuming this is some type of a peony but maybe you can tell me more about it so I can go and get one.

Yes, tree peonies. I love the tree peonies...Luiza you would too! I have yellow, red, and a burgundy color. The red and burgundy are done blooming already but not so the yellow one.

Poor people :) they were probably totally unaware that some obsessed gardener was sneaking around their front yard at 7 in the morning taking pictures :))

I'll take your advise and stop by sometime to inquire about this plant.

What a gorgeous tree peony! No wonder you stopped to have a closer look.

They are quite readily available here in nurseries. I bought 2 last year, one I'm ashamed to say is still in its pot. Really must plant it out!
