They are booming their heads off and scenting the air:)

The toile is one of my mother's that I love! The peonies from my DD's garden..They look like they go together:)

I enjoy looking over at the peony bed here..where I have most of our peonies..

They're all glorious to me..

Alone or in a group..

I'd love to add more less frilly ones..

Bowl Of Beauty and Iris look smashing together..

It's been a long time that we have not had rain .. heavy rain during peek peony bloom time..I am very grateful.

All your peonies are absolutely lovely! What is the name of the 3rd one down? And are you sure the last one is bowl of beauty? Because it does not look like the bowl or beauties I have seen online? Whatever it is - it is lovely!!! Golden

Your last one looks exactly like my mislabeled Bowl of Beauty which I got from Costco a few years back. It is probably Dancing Butterflies like mine.

Your large peony bed is gorgeous. Do you have anything else growing there to carry on the show once the peonies are done?

Magnificent plants! And sunshine too. Mine are having to put up with the 4th day in a row of rain and are really suffering.

I am certain that they are ..inappropriately labeled:(

The big bed.. has many varieties..in prominence right now are those huge ruffled pink ones..

White is to come:)Karl Rosenfeld is blooming also.
I will have to divide..and really do not know how:(

Every yr is different in a garden..and this yr is no exception..Henry Hudson..I have 3 in the front..are usually in bloom now and quite a bit after the peonies..but they have not even all branched out yet!

In back is an obelisk w/ a prolific Jackmanii and Duchess of Albany..in back also are Winchester Cathedral and Mary Rose..but this yr they stunted by the huge spurt of peonies due to all the rain..

All these peonies..except 1.. came from those silly Costco boxes.. 5 in one..Not so silly anymore!I have 10..all huge..
I am overjoyed now with that frugal purchase of when we moved here..

In front is Nepeta..all along..and I had Anemone Blandas before..

I also have a few peonies from Kim .. 2 nd full yr here.. in my perennial beds..have not bloomed yet..
and won't this yr.. they will though!

the ones w/ the Irises.. some Rose Cottage ones..

and in a round bed..I have perhaps 10 seedlings.. 3 rd yr now and only 1 branch..offered to me as a peony keeper:)Of sorts:)

I bought 1 new one last yr..and no blooms:( It was spectac..Oh well..

2 tree peonies.. Fuschia and yellow..all died back this yr..and I think the yellow has turned into a reg peony:(

Successes and losses.

Thank you for your nice comments.

Monique, every one is gorgeous! I've really begun to like the less frilly ones too and I'm learning little by little each season. I'm sort of new to peonies. I like that Grandmother Daughter creation...bet your daughter did too. ;)
