I've been so lucky and have had a pair of Carolina Wrens in the feeders and around the gardens for the entire fall/winter/spring season. Here are a few of my pics of these feisty birds.

I am so jealous!! They are such cute little birds! We have them here, but they tend to stay in the brush by the edge of the woods and very rarely come anywhere near the house or feeders. So I have only managed to get a couple of fair shots of one. Lucky you!

Thanks so much everyone! I appreciate your kind comments. I've got hundreds of pics of them as they were in the feeders right outside my blind every time I went outside to do photos. They quite like the red pepper suet I put out this year and I also got some freeze dried caterpillars that they love.

I'll second that!! Deanne these are all simply marvelous photos of a very delightful little bird. We have only had them visit twice in the ten years we've been here...they sing so beautifully! Oh you are so lucky to have them around all the time. Wonderful photos and a treat to view!

Thanks so much everyone! Carol, I'm just over the moon as the pair is here all the time so I've really enjoyed my time observing these cuties. I've acutally got a couple photos in my archives of the pair together. I'll have to dig them out for you.

Wrens are fantastic, and always have that old man about town expression on their faces with that downturned beak! Perfect shots!
