Organic vanilla yogurt with these goodies I add...slivered toasted almonds, raspberries, blueberries, little small dollops of nutella. I love this so much, I have it every day either as lunch or afternoon snack. :) Mary, croissants are soooo good, but I rarely have them. :\ Cracker Jacks...mmmmmmmmm!

That sounds so good Rain!

D.W. I love your balance of healthy and junk food

Yes, Monique there are still prizes but I got a dumb old boy sports card thingy --- I was hoping for a bebe maze toy or something useful like a stick-on tattoo! LOL

The way you fix yogurt sounds very appealing Tanya

Suzy, there is something about those hospital biscuits! Every time I visited my brother at the V.A. I would get a fried biscuit, perfect every time.

Since I was in continuing education classes all day I ate at a nearby restaurant and had one of my all-time favorites - a tuna melt.

Your lunch is quite the eclectic mix, Mary ;) but I love it all!

This is it, most days. Weetabix and a sliced banana over soya milk and a cup of green tea. Believe me, it's an acquired taste. Oh, and a soduku puzzle to keep me occupied. Boring, huh? And yes, this is lunch, not breakfast.

LOL I'd much rather have the choc chip cookies or a croissant but I'm trying to be good. Far too many temptations on this thread.

Sorry, I cann't understand you..., Heathergirl and Blue-moon..., then you have breakfast twice a day?

Here in Spain, we have for lunch three courses meal, vegs, salad or legumes, then meat (pork, chicken or beef), then fresh fruit...

Some times one paella that have vegs and fish all together with a dessert...

Here it is a paella

Plant Forum

But we always cook, also for dinner, that usually is too late, at about 20:00 or 21:00 hours.

Mariae, what time are you serving? Yum

Today I have a can of Amy's Organic Black Bean soup with one slice of very black pumpernickel bread and two pluots.

No Mariae, in my case just the same thing for breakfast and for lunch.
Your paella looks scrumptious! Is lunch the main meal in Spain? My son did a language course in Marbella and stayed with a host family. They always had a siesta after lunch and then a late evening meal.

Pardon my ignorance, Carol, but what is a pluot? Jane

New fruit - combo of plum and apricot. It has been in the local markets for two years. Very good. I think developed in California.

Carol, you can come when you like, there's always room on the table for you!

Yes, Heathergirl, lunch is the main meal in Spain and it is served between 1300 and 1500 hours, it depends of your timetable work, for example I worked at a bank from 0800 to 1430h, but the shops timetable is from 1000 to 1300 and from 1600 to 2000h.

You are right, people here love to have little a siesta, specially in the south of Spain, where there's hot weather. I like having a siesta, but I usually haven't.

Dinner is late at about 2000 or 2100h.
At about 2200h I go for a walk with my dog during one hour.
