Those are all gorgeous! Sadly, we are finally being able to see the sunset/sunrise with all the leaves fallen from the trees.

Here is our dragon statue at sunset. This was a really amazing sunset, the light was reddish and lit up even the interior of our house.
We all rushed outside to see what was happening, it was a special time.

Beautiful photos all. Your dragon is cool Greth. Jain, your last photo made me instantly think of a movie I like starring Keanu Reeves called A Walk in the Clouds, which must have taken place not far from where you live. He befriends a beautiful young girl whose family owns a vineyard. Have you ever seen it? Here is one I took this summer. Not much opportunity lately.

He was my Christmas present from DH last year, Suzy. He actually needs to move about 2 feet back and turn around a bit to face the house, but DH claims that moving him is hernia time. DH declared that picking presents was too hard, so I told him that garden statues of any type, but not rude ones, would always be welcome, also book, clothes, plant or music vouchers! He has settled on the idea that I like garden statues, and I like things medieval, so he buys me dragons and such. I love em, this is something I would not buy for myself, but they really make the garden interesting. The children like em too. Little Jessie is only 21 months old, she thinks the dragon is some kind of dog, so she calls it woof! I must try to get a picture one day when the magpies perch on dragon's head..

Garden Statues work for me! My DH has caught on to that as well. I've gotten a more than a couple in the past two years we've been married.

That part is definitely no fun. I remember last year we had about 3 days where the fog never lifted. That in my opinion is RIDICULOUS!! I know you have the same trouble there at times..maybe worse. But when the fog clears...what a view

I think my favourite would be blue moon's third one, but there's a lot of good competition. (and yeah it is a sunrise not a sunset, but it is so unreal...)Great thread, Mariae thanks for starting it

Nice photos, everyone! I love sunsets. We, however, live in a valley, with tall fir trees around us, so we don't often see much of a sunset. I had no sooner complained to Derek about it, admiring his sunset photos, than we experienced this, taken from our back deck.
And a moody sunset across the canal ...
