My hubby collects camels. Never know where one will turn up. Here's a couple more of my favs. I don't drink hot tea that much but find the pot half the fun. I like rose petal tea.

How much do they eat? They must make a lot of mess in your yard, I know I am always cleaning up after our 3 dogs, I can't imagine how much a camel leaves behind. Your husband is busy!

This post was inspired by the teapot blog http://teapotsteapotsteapots.blogspot.com/ where there is a teapot of every description and archives with many, many more.

Donna, I love your camel teapot! I am a collector of teapots. I have about 75 at last count. But guess what? After collecting them over the years, and thinking I couldn't live without them, I am now at a place where they are just something else to dust!

I first had this tea when visiting the tea house in the Chinese Garden in Portland. http://www.taooftea.com/detail155-Rose_Petal_Black.html Since then I've found other very good ones as well. http://www.harney.com/rosetea.html

Lovely teapots, Donna. You are too funny, Mimi! So much for noblesse oblige and the graciousness of genuine politesse.

Thanks my men of Mac! I was beginning to think I was the only one with a sense of humor. Which one is a camel and which one is a dromedary Greg?

Love it! I love tea, well I am British you know. If you visit anyone in the UK, the first thing they will say is "I'll put the kettle on" :) I had a couple of nice antique teapots when I lived in Yorkshire, but had to leave them behind. Here I always make my tea in a traditional British 'brown betty' teapot. http://www.englishteastore.com/brbete.html

I have a friend from Yorkshire, Sue, and he keeps me supplied with Yorkshire tea. Lovit. I bet you're enjoying a lot of it now.

I just remembered that I have a very nice teapot that's pretty unusual. It has a little chain attached to the inside top of the lid, and at the end of the chain is the silver container to hold the loose tea leaves. You just pour in hot water, close the lid, and it brews. When you want to stop the brewing, just disconnect the chain and close the lid again. It's pretty crafty. Signed, too, but I used it so much that I chipped the spout.
