You wouldn't want to see mine DJ (laugh). They're the ordinary dept. store variety. I have a whole collection of antique sugar & creamers, but when I moved the last time they never even got unpacked. LOL

How sad!! I finally sort of have my antique kitchen items on display, but mainly only because I couldn't stand the doors on our ugly kitchen cabinets and took them off. HAHA!!

Wow, Linda, leave some for the rest of us! HAHAHA!! That is an awesome collection. So what is the story... gifts? yard sales? flea markets? heirlooms? What are you missing that you're just dying to have?
That's okay... I didn't like Tech anyway!!! HAHA!!

I guess I have been collecting salt and peppers for over 45 years. I like unusual ones. I don't care for wooden ones much. I have some very old ones. One set belonged to my grand mother and she died in 1955. I have a black America set that is worth about $125.00 the last time I checked. One time when we were in Reno there was a salt and pepper shop on one of the streets and most of the sets were $4.95. I bought quite a few there. I have picked up some at garage sales and people give me ones they find since I don't go to many garage sales anymore. Someone told be they saw a tooth brush and tooth paste at a garge sale but they didn't get it for me. I don't have room for anymore. Plus cleaning them are the PITS !! I just try not to move them, LOL. Collecting S&P'rs is just as addicting as growing dahlias.

Linda, I just love reading stories like yours. What a lot of fun and great memories you must have (and remember!) for each and every one of your sets. Thanks for sharing some of them. I'm so glad you don't live in hurricane or tornado country!

Waaaaahhh...no cool s & p shakers here. We use the not so fancy grinders. Cute sets D.J. Yours are cute too, Lisa. Linda... That is some AMAZING collection.

Linda, you might be able to charge admission with all those shakers. I'm not a collector but I have these. I had another bride and groom, both given to me at my shower, but they broke. The silver shakers is my every day set.

Thank you, Tanya. Loretta, how pretty! I love the swans and the glass shaker. They look very old. It's too bad your other bride and groom broke. Doesn't that just make you sick? I have a little sugar "bowl" that looks like a tree stump with a little yellow bird on top. It used to be my Grandmother's. I used to call it Tweety Bird when I was growing up (even though it's not Tweety). One day, something fell out of my cabinet and knocked Tweety right off his stump. I still have it, but I haven't put it back together. It's just too sad to deal with.

Yes, thanks Linda :)
Aw, thanks :)
I know what you mean, DJ. I have a special little trinket I gave to my grandmother when I was little & she gave it back to me before she passed away. I have to be so careful with it. I am afraid to touch/move it in fear of dropping it or breaking it. It would be sad if it broke. Sorry your "Tweety" got knocked over :(

Try a steel safe and wear the key. You'd be surprised what could go wrong.

No story, I had collected a few ornate metal pieces to display together and these fit into the grouping nicely.
first pair 18% EP W.B. NS 3002 second pair DSP Co 205 Maybe Mimi can help tell us how "Ancient" these are?
