If you thought that was funny... I just got back in from doing MAIL and BARN. Went through the mail, then checked Worm's Way. Couldn't figure out why I'd ever been there except that maybe I had been looking for actual worms. Then I decided to check my email to see the latest GB posts (because I just can't stay away from this place). I was going through my emails, one by one, reading your last post here, then your last post in my journal, and then your last post here again, and then your last post in my journal again, and so on. I was hitting the button to see each new email, but sometimes it hiccups and shows me the same things over and over. But of course I thought you were doing a little goldfish-style messing with my mind and really were posting the same posts over and over again. HAHAHA!! Oh, my head is killing me!!!! LOL!

I can't seem to stay away from here either! I keep logging out, telling myself to get some work done & 5 minutes later (usually less than that), I am logging back in! I know what you mean with going back & forth from email to journal to here, etc....you do realize I've been doing the same thing all day too ya' know, since I've been replying to your posts too (you really must have the goldfish virus today, HAHA) Maybe we should start our own Heirloomgardens to Flowerfreak/ Flowerfreak to Heirloomgardens section! HAHA Feel free to send me an email anytime if you want & we could save a little space on GB...we tend to get a little lengthy, don't we?! I am sure some GB's are really lost or think we are really crazy (especially if they aren't flopping back & forth like we have been). I could only imagine if I were just reading this particular thread & read "I just got back in from doing MAIL and BARN". HAHA

Lisa, I'm dying here! I am laughing so hard that I'm laughing out loud and rubbing my eyes! I go so far as to turn off my computer to get away from here. I'll come back about 15 minutes later and wait the 5 minutes that it takes to reboot because I simply just cannot stay away!
I know! HAHAHA! I was thinking earlier that there is no way you are getting any work done. LOL. I want your job! GOLDFISH VIRUS -- I AM DYING!!!!!!
This is just too much. I am just dying from laughter here! I figure they're either lost like you said or they're too busy looking for dry underwear to join in the hysterics. LOL.

Lisa, I'm glad you mentioned Worm's Way. I can get a replacement compression fitting for my drip irrigation there. Cool, thanks! I stopped up a leaky one with clear tape this year. I would usually use duct tape, but I didn't have any on hand and I was a little tired of forgetting about the leak and getting sprayed in the face every time I opened the valve.

I get it done (I don't know how though). Lately it is VERY difficult to stay motivated when I have access to GB.
Don't go that far! It's not as good as you think it must be...it is too funny you mentioned that b/c I was just thinking today that I wish I had your life!
I was wondering about this too, since I knew you had dial-up. Gosh, I can see me doing that. This is starting to get scary!
I'm sure we're both in an official "Crazy GB" (which could stand for Gardenbuddies or GOLDFISH buddies!!) section somewhere here that we haven't access to! lol

Anyone caught posting below the goldfish is officially a member of the GoldfishBuddies club. Hahaha! Maybe EJ can add a little hook and worm beside their profile pic. HAHAHA!!

Moira quite adeptly became the third GoldfishBuddy. LOL. Actually, I ate a lot more than usual yesterday. I was hoping it would make my headache go away, but it didn't. As for washing (myself, the laundry, even the dishes (which is really my husband's job)), I have been doing that a lot more too now that I don't have to pressure wash or water anything. If it hadn't been gray and sprinkly yesterday, I would have raked. It is very gray today and seems to be raining off and on, so it looks like another indoor day. My husband goes out of town next week, which means that the place will stay clean all on its own for an entire week, so that will really be the time that I really don't DO anything. In the meantime, the temperatures have dropped from their summery warmth to their blustery chill, so I might drag out my faux burning logs and put them in the fireplace, then make apple and cinnamon oatmeal and hot chocolate for me and my son. We will be wired for the day. Speaking of wired, some of the old houses in CT have already put their electric candles in the windows. I am tempted to join them now that my house looks so much better... I'm not so worried about drawing attention to it these days. So that may be one of today's DOs. But that would mean that I'd have to come up with some extra lighting to make it even more special for Christmas. Darn.

Yay! We are not alone, duhmer! lol Welcome to the goldfish club Moira. Are you sure you know what you are getting into? (I'm surprised I still remember what it is, lol)
Me never eat???!!! You must be joking! That is all I ever do! I am terrible--I live for food. As far as doing anything, I never stop. My mom is always telling me I need to slow down or I need to take a break. I told her I'm afraid if I do that, I will get too lazy or loose my momentum. I am currently able to be on here a lot during the day only because it is a little slow right now where I work. Last night, I promised myself that I was not allowed to log onto GB this morning until I had all of my work caught up (so I got here an hour earlier than normal)! I would never get work anything done at home if I was on here at night!
Gosh DJ, that sounds like too much fun! That is nice you get to spend time with your son like that. Growing up, my mom was able to stay at home with us and I wouldn't trade those days for the world.
Ugh! Yes, it is that time, isn't it? I guess tonight I will have to drag out my little room heaters...
I have faith in you. I am sure you'll come up with another brilliant idea

Soooo funnnny! Especially that first line. HAHA!
You and I must be very similar in that respect. My husband, on the other hand, won't start anything until after he's had a pot of coffee, watched C-Span, and then wandered aimlessly about the property. Then after 15 minutes of work, he'll say, "Time for a break." That pattern of taking a break continues throughout the day and then he stops working long before I do. Drives me nuts.
HAHAHA! I believe you!
I wouldn't trade my time with him for anything, either. I'm going to have a breakdown when he goes off to school next year. I want him to always be home, happy and safe with me.

Gosh DJ, not only do I think we are so alike, our husbands are alike!! My DH does the same thing! It is like it takes him 1/2 the day just to get motivated, then he'll work for an hour total (after you take out the breaks) and will be ready to call it a day!!! Yes, it drives me nuts too!!

Do the shopping excursions have to be connected with gardening only?? I found a couple of 'wish sites' http://www.zgglass.com/ some of the sculptures on this next site could go in a garden setting :) www.sherwoodgallery.com

Nope... anything goes!!
Beautiful!! I just love art glass. The combo of glass, metal, and light is one of my all time favorites... someday I want my own blowtorch so I can make lamps using metal and art glass. How did you ever come across that site?
Oh, very cool! I wonder if I have been in that gallery? I like Perry (for the lighting effects), Vranes, Hunnicutt (wood), and Borowski (glass/glass & metal). Who caught your eye? (Hunnicutt's work makes me think of some wooden lampshades I saw at an art show one time. The wood was very thin burl and the lamps were in a very dark curtained area so people could see the light coming through the shades. Absolutely stunning.) Thanks for sharing!

I don't know, Lisa. I was wondering the same thing. I'll bet she thinks (hopes?) it's a very exclusive club and that there's no way she could (would!) ever get in. LOL!
