No fair! Those look scrumptious. I'm getting a sugar buzz just looking at them.

Lisa, I was in the hardware store today and saw something that made me instantly think of you. Here's a site that sells the same thing:

haha, lol. Those are too funny :)
I thought of you last weekend when I found a neat little place on the way to my parent's farm. The lady has a big greenhouse next to her house. In front of the green house she has all kinds of statues & knick nacks (sp?) scattered about, amongst different perennials & rock gardens. One of the items she had was an old rusted out bicycle with a plant growing up it. It made me think of you because you thought about digging out that old bike from your barn and doing something like that with it :)

A couple of weeks ago, I found this cool art glass site. I like the jellyfish:

http://www.crystal-fox.com/index.cfm/Satava_Glass_Jellyfish_Sculptures.htm

I didn't bookmark it (I was afraid I might buy something!), but I hunted it down again this morning because it is just too good (IMO) to not share. But of course I managed to stumble across another interesting art glass site in the process. Hahaha!

http://artglassbygary.com/art_glass_sea_life.html

I used to have a big (5" maybe) crystal ball that was referred to as a "rainbow" crystal ball because it had some blue glass dispersed inside of it. I had bought it with my first paycheck from my first "real" summer job many years ago. That thing travelled all over the country with me to finally find a place on my mantel in the living room. Then one day I leaned on the mantel, only to discover that it wasn't really affixed to the fireplace. It tilted and before I realized what was happening, the ball landed with a huge thud on the edge of our raised hearth. Half of it shattered into powder. I would have been really upset except that I think I went into shock. LOL. I think these jellyfish things would make a very cool replacement, although they might not go so great with my griffin crystal ball stand. Hahaha! (As another funny story about my rainbow ball... When we lived in Florida, we were sitting around chatting one day and I wondered what some weird smell was. I finally noticed the crystal ball focusing light and burning a hole in the carpet. HAHAHA!)

Why would you want to do that? LOL!! I finished off my teacakes yesterday, so I just now went into the kitchen to eat a few peanut M&Ms. I started to come back to my desk after eating just those few, then wondered who I was kidding. I went back, grabbed the bag, and now I have them beside my computer where they belong. HAHAHA! (BTW, that IS my breakfast. LOL!)

I was going to take a picture of the bike, but started to walk back to the truck to get the camera when I realized I didn't drive this time!!

This is what I did when I left work on Monday!! I ate a few at work, then put the rest in the fridge (out of sight, out of mind). Who was I kidding also?!! Before I left work 10 minutes later, I grabbed the rest of them to take with me to eat on the way home!!! hahaha

This is what I normally do, which is why I wanted to find some "real" breakfast before I raided the chocolate. I thought I would at least try to stop my "bad" habit (esp. with all the good food & desserts I will be stuffing myself with tomorrow) ;-)

Dj the glass art stuff is very beautiful but one question.(Probably a dumb one but hey my hairs blonde so I am allowed.) The jelly fish are pretend aren't they? No one would put a real jelly fish in there would they?

Just to make you all jealous I am going here tomorrow!!!http://www.brightoncraftfair.co.uk/artists/artists-2007
Not virtually but really!!!! A girly daytrip for Christmas presents but no doubt I will find something I just have to have. And hopefully won't have to remortgage the house to buy it LOL!

I cannot wait to find out what you bought. Some of those artists have really nice things and great web sites of their own. Did you see the floral handbags? I know that's VERY girlie, but I think they are pretty anyway. I imagine myself strolling through a sunny meadow, swinging the white daisy bag and picking wildflowers.

I can picture you doing that DJ on your beautiful farm surrounded by all your lovely flowers.
I don't remember seeing her stuff but then there was so much to look at. A real feast for the eyes but so expensive! I didn't buy anything for real only virtually. We play the " If I could buy one thing what would I buy" game. I chose one of this guys candle holders. http://www.brettpayne.com/ Cost 2000 pounds! Made of hand forged silver and so tactile.

The whole of Brighton is a shoppers paradise. There are streets and streets of independent shops selling things from all over the world. So I did shop but a lot cheaper than in the craft fair. I will post pics tomorrow when I have uploaded them. We were walking from 11am until 6pm! and still only managed about a third of the shops there. I am seriously shopped out LOL!

Hi fellow school mates (as in a school of fish). I've been busy with company for the holiday and haven't had a chance to get on much. So I'm catching up.

The shot gun shell lights are a riot.

The glass places are really great. I like the glass fish. Not sure about the jellyfish though. Not my thing.

I am jealous, Growit, that craft fair looked like it was going to be wonderful. Did you get the candle holder that's on the web site? That's beautiful. I miss shopping outside going from shop to shop. Malls are so boring.

The textile place is really cool too, DJ. I wanted every purse I saw. No prices though so probably well out of my league. Oh well doesn't cost a thing to look.

Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving.

Very shiny and modern. But no wonder you play virtual purchasing. WOW! There is an antique shop near here that has many things for well over $40,000. Some of them come from the same period as my house. LOL.

I was thinking that maybe - just maybe - I could make one myself... or at least with my Mom's help. I could start a whole new business. Haha!

Besides that, those tiny bags are too small. They would never hold everything I pack in a purse! lol
They are very clever though

LOL. I like small purses. Everyone always picks on me because I use such small purses. Just enough room for keys, wallet, lip gloss. I've been known to carry very flat, very small purses. HAHA! A long time ago, my husband used to carry my keys and wallet in his pocket and I didn't carry anything at all. LOL. Of course, store clerks used to give me the evil eye and follow me around like I was going to steal something.

I went to this place when I was in Puerto Rico many years ago. Some of the displays were taller than I was. Then for my birthday, my Mom gave me one of the displays (I'd say it's a 10"x10"). Now, some of you (Lisa! and maybe Moira!) might be browsing that site and notice something interesting, so try not to blurt it out on the Internet in your excitement of commenting on it. LOL.

Oh, that would be nice. I carry so much that DH would be the one asking me to carry his wallet & keys!! lol

Wow, that is a bunch of butterflies! That is one "girly" thing I do like. I have always liked butterflies, but more so since my niece (tomboy) started liking them. (For Christmas this year, I bought her a camo outfit with an outline of a big butter fly across the front of it) Which reminds me, I meant to post in my journal this week & forgot ([OoGBoO])

That sounds cute. I've been wanting pink (I know, did I just say pink?!) camouflage overalls for a while. I've seen them in small sizes, but not adult sizes. Then I was thinking about it yesterday again for some reason and it occurred to me that orange camouflage would be even funnier.
