But I asked for a cordless drill! I intend to paint the sucker bright pink too. So I can find it when I need it! He must have 6 drills and there's never one around when I want one or if there is it isn't charged. I prefer to have all my own tools, marked clearly with my name at least, so I can find them quickly and easily. AND you wouldn't believe how many times he's asked me for a tool because he can't find his! Roses hung with diamonds....ooooh I like the sound of that one! It did sort of look like one of those adds! That's what happepns when you're too lazy to move the plug. I plugged it in and just tried to stretch the hose to the last step at the bottom. Missed it by that much. (big DUH here) Luckily it missed me too as I was smart enough not to try and catch it and just jumped out of the way.

Well isn't that the sweetest thing. Now you've gone and made me feel bad for picking on you. Thank you so much for the offer but I'm hoping Santa brings it. Be a Secret Santa for someone who really needs the help instead.

I want one, but I'd never ask for one because I want one that actually works, not one that my husband would pick out. 1/2LOL!
Moira, maybe you could get one, too, and paint it to match your flowery tools.
Once I clean up my toolbox and inventory it after this last summer's manhandling of everything in it, I'm just going to put a lock on it and pretend to be a drug commercial every time he wants to borrow something. "Just say, 'No!'"
This is like deja vu all over again. Haha! Most recently, my tape measures have gone missing. Of course, he wanted to know where they were, when he's the one who lost them. I finally found one on the table near the toolbox and have hidden it away (I forget where, of course). Then, no big surprise, I found the smaller one hidden deep within my toolbox... this after telling him in the first place that they should be in the toolbox, but as usual he can NEVER find anything when told exactly where to look. LOL! (the smaller one is also hidden away now, someplace where I'll probably never find it again)
ROFL!
Ooohhh, yes, Mother Earth News rules! I have wasted (?!) lots of time reading their articles. Love 'em.
And now to quote Seil (from I forget where): PUHLEEZ!! I wore my engagement ring hiking, camping, and whitewater rafting until I banged one of the emeralds out of it. Ditto with an entirely separate emerald and diamond ring that I was given when I finished my MS. Didn't bang a stone out of it, but I smashed it on the rock you see in "Deliverance". Smashed it so hard I could barely get it off my finger. LOL! I wear my wedding band every day, farming or not. I should know better, though, since one of my uncle's tore his finger off a long time ago when his wedding band got hooked on something.

Actually, now that I think about it, I think I also chipped the big central emerald in that one. *sigh*

Hahaha! I love their idea of the velvet bag. Embroider it with "Tampax" and no self-respecting man would ever borrow a woman's tools again. LOL! (Now don't you wish I had typed that in the smallest font? That's what you get for complaining about it. LOL!)
UGH! Now that's really going too far. Who comes up with this stuff? I can't believe the brand name isn't Pepto-Bismol.
Now, can you please direct me to some pink camo? Or orange camo, preferably?

oooh! oooh! I know there's some pink camo out there. One drawback may be that the only stuff I've seen so far fits like it's painted on. May not be too comfortable sneaking around the suburbs of Dade county hunting them Pink Flamingos. :) http://www.camodump.com/cpstorefront/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=4895942 7 http://www.armynavyshop.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?store_code=army-navy-sho p&screen=PROD&product_code=rc8039 http://www.armynavyshop.com/Merchant2/merchant.mvc?store_code=army-navy-sho p&screen=PROD&product_code=rc1068 http://www.armynavyshop.com/prods/rc5599.html http://www.armynavyshop.com/prods/rc8079.html http://garage.mechanix.com/detail.aspx?ID=13

Ha, thanks, Blaine. Just imagine what people would think if they saw you googling pink tools! The problem I have with most of these "tools" is that they're really light weight and don't perform very well. I need something I can drill concrete with, 19volts and sturdy, not some dainty ladies tool. Sorry about your rings, DJ. I've worn my through everything to and they have the scars to prove it. So do I. Excuse me, but....doesn't PINK sort of defeat the purpose of camo?

Haha, tank you very much! Good job. The only pink camo I can ever seem to find is for children. I wonder why camodump never came up before? I have bookmarked that for future reference. Those pink camo sneakers are particularly awful, even worse than my rubber ladybug (ladybird, for Moira!) shoes. Now all I needed is some butterfly wings and antennae for my tractor. LOL! I'd like to see this, but apparently it is such effective camo that that is impossible. LOL! http://www.camodump.com/cpstorefront/scripts/prodView.asp?idproduct=4895893 3 *GASP!* Look! I look for this junk every once in a while. Persistence pays. YEAH! http://www.nextag.com/orange-camouflage/search-html

Funny! Poor Seil.
I think orange camo is even worse, considering people use green camo to hide in the woods and fluorescent orange to hunt. Makes no sense, but then again, I want to wear mine in the pumpkin patch. HAHAHA!

heh, heh...I've considered blue camo many times. Thought I'd put together my summer yardening outfit. I think I'll at least go with blue camo shorts next year, knee length with cargo pockets. Probably have to change footware to some Converse Allstars, canvas colored or black. Maybe a sleevless blue camo xxl shirt or the usual white. Geez, it just started snowing, we've got 2 1/2 months of buttugly weather ahead and I'm already thinking spring. :)
depends on what you're hunting. Like I said, it comes in handy when hunting the pink flamingos. It'd also help you blend into the background if you were hunting anything in the San Francisco area. :)
What? Like I really care what people think? On the anniversary of my sister's death, I hang outside in the garage listening to music, watching the garden and drinking beer... while wearing a pink (egads) flower patterned mumu I found hanging on the back of her bathroom door when we cleaned out her apartment. Nope! I don't give two cents for other's opinions.

Oh now that is good camo. Totaly invisible, I couldn't see a thing. Ok, I got it now, Orange/Pumpkin Patch, you'll blend right in! I know what you mean, Moira, don't blink you'll miss something. (and I really should be doing housework not sitting here typing) And usually by the time I get my answer typed and posted two other people have posted and I'm lost again. "Bullie" for you, Bullieduh! I rarely worry about what other people think anymore either. Mostly because I figured out a long time ago that most people are so worried about what everybody thinks of them that they aren't thinking about me anyway. Your new gardening togs sound perfect. Every garden needs a little bit of blue. I'm trying to picture Grizzly Adams in a mumu. Can't but that's kind of a nice way to honor your sister's memory.

be careful what you ask for... heheeee I was going to post a mumu pic but they're not up on the webstorage. I'll burn your eyes later. Or for that matter, a gardening friend from FL was in Chicago. I went down and picked her up and we toured nurseries and garden centers for the day then stopped at my house. Another gardening friend from Hawaii had sent me an official island mumu. So we both put one on for a garden shot. better than a scarecrow I'm telling ya!!

I think I will HUNT it down in the spring.
Don't forget the black knee highs.
Don't forget, fishies, this is the guy who just locked himself out of GB because he so doesn't "really care what people think." *snort*
Yeah, well, it'll work until I decide to grow the all white pumpkin patch.
A very wise observation. Careful, though, you can get demoted for that.
LOL!
