We visit the puppies on the 3rd of February for socialization. The breeder determines which one they feel is best suited to us...or the puppy does! Ours is the only one NOT having its ears clipped. Then we collect him/her on the 16th. It seems so far away now, but once housetraining begins I may have less enthusiasm. ;-) That's some Valentine we're getting! Still working on names. They change each day. Today we have Gamine(f) and Gambit(m). Who knows tomorrow?

February will be here before you know it GB. What a great valentines gift for you. Must ask, why the names beginning with G? We always called our pets a name beginning with J (don't know why) when we were kids. Do you do the same or are you working your way through a different letter of the alphabet every day until you get him/her?

Just happened! No method at all. We like 2 syllable names with strong consonants. The G sound can't be confused with basic dog commands. We also like the implied mischief that these two names have. My SIL named her 5 sons Lee, Lad, Lesley, Lyn and Lou. My goodness....

Well my grandfather-in-law (is there such a thing?) named his two children Louise and Louis. Guess what his name was?

Lewis? or Lou? or King? LOL!
Ugh. I think that's worse than the guy that legally changed his name to Trout Fishing in America.

Just Louis. Spelling it Lewis would have showed too much imagination.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ima_Hogg Read that while I entertain my very sick brother. DH and I were up from 1-3am helping and mopping. Poor guy. Glad we could help. He lives alone. I'm also doing laundry, washing hands often, and making soup for tonight as well. Hope it stays down. :(

GB has he got some kind of sicky bug? Whatever it is I hope he feels better soon and you and hubby get some sleep! Ima...unfortunate name, impressive lady and I thought all I would learn about on this forum was plants.

I wish I thought of that! GB, hopefully it's just one of those 24 hour bugs and you will get some quality time together.
