Dear all, Today (Wednesday the 9th of January) I still have no Journal. I'd like to know who received the Journal the last week. Maybe the pigeon is too weak to fly and is walking. Kind regards, Jan

Jan, I received my copy in spite of my zip code being incorrect. My journal arrived a few days later than others reporting having theirs.

If anyone else has had a problem with the Journal, please let me know - if you have not guessed yet, I am the Membership Secretary. I am sorry when Journals take a long time to be delivered, and it is not always possible to know why. This year I received subscriptions from members in California and Japan first week in January. Even if the members posted their subs to me immediately they received the Journal, this is pretty impressive work by the various Postal authorities.

Welcome to the cyclamen forum Arthur. What a job you must have. Almost as rough as Tim's job of Seed Distribution Manager.

Dear Arthur, Never trust the postman, once we found some post in the garden. Once a week we get post from our neighbours in our mailbox. Sometimes I think it would be much easier for the postman to put all the post for the whole street in one mailbox. A parcel from the Netherlands to Rome will take 3 days, From Rome to the Netherlands 6 days. Please tell me why ? One letter from England to our house took 4 weeks, a second registered letter arrived together with the first send letter. And those people strike ! Regards, Jan

Arthur no harm was meant by my post,I realise how hard it is to do these jobs and the numerous queries that need solving.I just cannot take gardening quite as seriously as others.

Tony My response was meant to be jocular - on rereading it I can see it could be taken that I was upset. Certainly do not want to upset you - from your many threads I can see that you are a font of knowledge that I wish to tap. Arthur
