Cyclamen Persicum 'Tilebarn Karpathos' is a very dark form of Cyclamen Pesicum var punicium selected by Peter Moore of Tilebarn nursery.I have at present 35 seedlings from a plant bought from Peter that are flowering for the first time. These are the first 6 to flower and so far there is not one I would happily call 'Karpathos'. I am happy to call the pink ones var punicium and the white ones var persicum. I will be interested to see if I get any from the remaining 29 plants. Peter said to me the percentage is low. I will keep you posted.

Nice seedlings though Pat. I prefer pink flowered persicum to the white with a pink nose.

I like the leaf pattern on the front left one.

I have some TB Karpathos seedlings from seed via the Cyclamen Society seed distribution... I think they're a long way off flowering though.

Hi Pat,

They look pretty good plants to me. If you dont want them let me know !
The leaf patterns are so good especially the closest 2 plants.
I have a potful of Karpathos seedlings so I look forward to their flowering.
How old are your flowering seedlings by the way?

Further plants have flowered since the last post. I have checked with Peter Moore at Tilebarn the criteria for Karpathos and we are looking for the same colour as Rhodium ssp vividum. The following pics illustrate the plants when compared. Vividum is the one with the speckled leaf and in the last pic is the one on the right. At the moment I have 7 plants that are karpathos and still a few yet to flower.

Lovely flower colour for C.persicum....much more favoured than the white/pink nosed ones - for me anyway.

They have very nice leaf patterns on these plants too Pat.

Thanks for posting them.
