I have noticed that most of you have small pebbles on the top of your pots, why is this ?? and I also noticed it in the primulas forum as well ??

It stops the soli getting a crust on it from watering which would stop the water penetrating into the soil,stops weeds,keeps the neck of the plant dryer and looks nice

Thanks Tony, 90% of my are in the garden beds and pop back up every year, I have a few in pots so I will use some of my bonsai gravel:)
