It seems that Albania is more or less terra incognita for Cyclamen. So here are just a few impressions from central Albania (cross section from Tirana to Lake Ohrid). We saw many many more but since the focus was on hellebores I only took a few photos of Cyclamen. Some VERY nice forms!

Thanks for posting these, there looks to be some super leaf forms in Albania. There are very few plants from there in cultivation. I have 2 plants identical to the arrow shaped leaf form in picture 5 in my garden from the Albanian border. This has made me decide to lift them and pot them up and to try to spread some seed to other people. Thanks again Matthias.

Great to see the cyclamen photos Matthias. There are some great leaf patterns there. I like the one in the centre of the first photo, and the lovely arrow head one. Thanks for posting.

This long leave version seems to be very popular in Albania

Thanks for posting these Mathias, there seems to be so little information in the UK about cyclamen in Albania so photos like these help to add to our knowledge of what is there. My favorite leaf shape is the arrowhead too, I wonder why we find that shape so appealing?
