A little off topic, just wondering if anyone grows Pink Lady Slippers. My mother had a Yellow Lady Slipper flower this year, she said this year is the first time it has flowered in about 30 years. Having just one plant, will it produce seed? Just wondering where I can get seeds, I see someone is selling on Ebay, 1000 seeds, for $200 I think. I just want to get maybe 20-30 and give them a try. Plants are pretty expensive. I guess they grow wild here in Upstate NY, but I have never seen any.

Seems they won't let you post pictures, even with your own web space. Anyways maybe I can link it. Test picture of a Yellow Lady Slipper ftp://frontiernet.net/public_html/yellowladyslipper1.JPG

I give up, it's silly they don't give you space to upload a picture a size, that you can actually see, without having a paying account.

Ok Guff let's see if we can get this to work for you. First you click on the button all the way to the left. You will come to "image resizer". See where it says "select other size"? click on 400 x 400. Then click "browse" that allows you to select one of your pictures from your hard drive. Double clk and then click on "upload" button. If successful, your picture will appear in the image. Follow the instructions and save the picture onto your hard drive by right clicking. Next go the the cyclamen forum and click on the paper clip button-6th one from left. "Add image" box comes up. Double Click on "browse" button again and select the photo you saved. It puts it into the box then click "upload"
Then click on the box that says "close". You will see a line in your text that is the "picture". Hit your "preview" button and the picture should be in there. Make sure your options are both clicked. If you still are having difficulty go to the test area to practice. Hope this helps! And we hope to see your pictures soon.

Glad it worked for you. I had a problem too but when I did the 400x400 it seemed to work for me. That is a nice lady slipper among your Epimedium. Are they in the ground or in pots yet? We will get to see some of your cyclamen soon I hope.

Ok I know these really need to be transplanted, which I may get to tomorrow. There is a little over 40 seedling. Wondering would it be ok to put two seedling in a 4 inch square pot. The Yellow Lady Slipper has been in the ground 34+ years. Heres a link to a Lady Slipper web site, they have some very pretty ones. Plus they are grown from tissue cultures, which I am very interested in. http://www.vtladyslipper.com/vtlscwebpg6.html

Great to see you got your pictures posted! They are looking good. You also sound like me, I am going to transplant tomorrow and then something comes up! If they are hederifolium I would put them up like Tim does, one to a pot as they do get big. I found someone on e-bay selling 3 /12" pots and trays and had a big order delivered to the door. You will fit more pots in the trays snuggly. In winter it is hard to get the pots, but maybe now you will have better luck now. If you want you can get washed gravel like Tim put on top of the pots. So you have gardened for 34 years? You must have some nice things on your property. You'll have to start posting more in other areas of gardenbuddies and show us your gardens.

I have many gardens projects in the works. When I see something I like, I try to grow it from seed usually. One project I'm working on is the old fashion orange tiger lily, which produces little bulbs/seed on the stems. I have 50+ adult flowering plants, and I get 20-40 seed/bulbs per plant. So they add up fast, it take 3-5+ years to flower from the seed/bulb, which I have a lot of babies growing. Every year I just keep adding them to my tiger lily section, it's going to be very pretty when I have 1,000's growing and flowering. At some point, I will sell baby plants 2-3 year old on Ebay, to help support my gardening expenses, which we all know, can get out of hand........lol

Guff, that is beautiful! You really need to start sharing your photos in the annual and perennial forum or one of the other forums. So many more people could enjoy them.
