I have no problem getting seed to set on the plants I'm growing outdoors (other than purpurascens - seed set on that species continues to be sparse here), but I'd like to increase seed set on those I grow under cold glass, including pseudibericum, libanoticum, and graecum. I've tried using small brushes, toothpicks, etc., to transfer pollen, but my success rate's still pretty low. Any tricks to manual pollination that I'm missing?

Jeffery, I simply tap the flowers as often as I can, usually around midday when the temperature is at its highest. Damp weather doesn't help, neither does having a lot of water sitting on the glasshouse floor as it creates a damp environment. I have problems with both at this time of the year. Do you grow a number of plants of the same species but from different sources? I'm sure that it helps to do so as some cyclamen (individual plants, not certain species) don't seem to self pollinate well.

Thanks, Tim - that may be the problem, since I have only a couple of plants of each species, and they rarely bloom concurrently.
