Hi Ann, I visited a grower and found three of these plants. Two plants have 50 % of their leaves with these purple centre, one plant has all leaves with this purple centre. This plant has some seed pods as well, a great day again. Regards, Jan

Again, this a very interesting plant Jan. When you say you 'found' it, do you mean in your collection, or from the grower who had all those lovely pseudibericum. Whichever, it is a lovely leaf...and it's set seed..lets hope there are some similar 'babies' to follow.

What a find! Lots of coils on that plant, too. I wonder what the cause of the purple color might be? In other species such as mirabile it was little hairs which wore off as the leaf matured. It seems likely the purple will remain through the growing season.

Very nice find Jan. It is interesting that these appear to be mature leaves and the pink flush looks permanant rather than fading as in mirabile and other plants with an early pink markings.

You find some interesting cyclamen Jan, either in your own collection or in your travels. I guess you have an "eye" for the unusual. Fingers crossed your seed gives you more of these plants.

That's a truly exciting find. If it breeds true it will be a great new direction!

Jan I am so pleased that someone with your 'eye' is looking out for outstanding plants like this. I am sure that we are entering a new era in terms of what is available in Cyclamen hederifolium.
