This is the defining border of the back yard. There's a path behind it so not much room to extend it from behind. I can work from the front however, if I decide to. In 'birdhouse row' there's Be-Bop roses, red hibiscus, pink hibiscus, several varieties of clematis, gingko tree, perovskia, agastache, Joe Pye, rudbeckia, and lilies and a few small plants.

Tanya, that is soooo attractive! I love everything about that border. The color, the decor, the blend, the height. Perfect! Tell me about the birdhouses. Are the homemade? Functional or ornamental? I LOVE it!!

It looks like Blue Bird Lane..Very pretty. I would love a border dotted with such architecture!

Thanks Carolyn, Steve, and Monique! Carolyn, the two middle birdhouses were made by DH. All of them are occupied each season at different times by bluebirds, tree swallows, wrens, etc. Being a bird-nut, I really enjoy their comings and goings.

The bird houses are so pretty...the red habiscus is beautiful. I have to get one of these. The blue plant next to it...is that the perovskia? ...Love your border.

No, that's the Agastache. The Blue Perovskia is almost to the other end...I can see it but it's not real tall yet. Both of them get totally loaded up with fuzzy bumblebees...the nice bees! :)
