I love this! I would never think of something so creative. Don't worry about completing the path. More important that you got your plants in the ground so they can grow while you finish the path! I love the entrance with that arbor. By the way, you have a very cool shed.

Terrific! Luiza, I'm so glad you got the plants moved and planted before this heat began.

Just joined Garden Buddies, so I am late seeing your project. I loved seeing the beginning through the finishing touches. You should be very proud. I love the stone path, gives you a great access to the bed, plus it is lovely to look at. I hope you post more pictures as the area matures.

Was it difficult to make the stone path? I would like to try that project myself.

I've just re-visited this thread and noticed the latest posts. I do have some newer pictures of this border and I'll post them in the next day or so. As for making the path...it's very easy just very labor intensive because of the digging and lifting. For this project I dug up the sod and soil so that the path is flush with the grass level.

Here's an update since the last pictures. July 19 and many of the flowers are at their best.
August 25 view
...and the most recent view from October 5th. The burning bush is just gorgeous.

Gulp! This is STUNNING. Your grass is real plush this time of year and the burning bush is incredible. Please tell me the variety you got. How long will it retain that color? (I like how you have the 3 evergreens lined up at the end there - are they hemlock? I can't tell). The whole thing is perfect. Good work!

Very pretty Luiza. You have such great shrubbery and trees in your yard..each very well chosen. I am a big fan of that burning bush too.

I don’t know about stunning :) ... but it did turn out quite well. Charlene, the three trees in the corner are two Colorado Blue Spruce and one green Spruce. I totally love the blue once as they add such beautiful color to the garden. The burning bush will 'burn' for several weeks and the more sun it gets the better the color.

Luiza, it turned out spectacular and you have every right to feel proud. We don't talk to much about the process of vision to reality. I can tell you pulled your vision off to a 'T'. Carol

Very nice job. I like how you don't have borders, it's a nice natural look.
