these primulas were grown from seed collected by Dieter Zschummel a long time friend from Leipzig on a trip to China

How very lovely they all are! The Sinopurpurea look like jewels dangling from silver mounts.

Your garden and greenhouse must be sources of such excitement for you - with new, rare, unusual treasures opening every day it seems.

You are so right I get great pleasure from the flowers in the greenhouse but in this instance these are growing in the garden.I cut a flower spike of the sinopurpurea and took it inside to photograph because the weather is now back almost to winter.Cold damaging winds and masses of rain everyday.You can see the rain on the cortusoides

Yes the rain on the plants looks very familiar because that's about all we've had lately. Must because I'm on leave! The sun is out now though so hopefully my tree peonies might open!
