Stephie, thanks so much for the photo. I really love lupines, but had never heard of this one. What zone are you in, and are they an easy perennial to grow? Yours look like they're about 3' or so high. Is that right? The lupines I've grown here in Utah are biennial and certainly not fragrant.

These are tree-like, about 3-6 feet eventaully although I let mine "droop". They also come in the rarer colour purple. I am in zone 8 but lupinus aboreus tolerates it down tp -12 degrees C.They are very quick to grow, easy from prolific seeds (which re-seed but easy to pick out) and last about 7 years...which isn't a problem if you let them re-seed. The fragrance wfts through my kitchen window...like strong prefumed clover. Incredible plants...they like sun, are nitrogen fixers and hold soil...and they aren't too fussy about soil. I found a source for purple ones somewhere, but the yellow are grogeous enough.
