I was going to say that looks like something out of Prof. Sprouts greenhouse in the Harry Potter books and when I looked it up, I see it is the famous Mandrake. I suppose they don't scream when you pull them up?

Hans

mine produced fruit for the first time last year and they are like green tomatoes on a long stalk. It is a strange plant.I have collected two different species in Turkey and wait for these to flower. One has fruits that are yellow and sit in the rosette of leaves like eggs in a birds nest.Ton I did not collect the seeds but if they are produced this year I will send you some.Perhaps they need to be sown fresh.
