I have been sowing camellia seed so far to make new cultivar. The most of seedling were not satisfactory as to be used to the rootstock of grafting. I introduce here some of my seedlings. This is from the seed of "Miyakodori", the white magnolia form semi double flower.
This is from the seed of "Barbara Clerk". The shape of flower is "Ro-saki". Stamens can be seen between the petals near the centre.
From "kurotsubaki" seed. Only one variegated flower I made. But the variegation is incomplete.
From "kurotsubaki" seed. A single type of "Kurotsubaki". My favorite.
This photo is already shown in other thread. C.roseaflora seldom make seed. I have 2 seedling now. But the other one produces less flower. I am suspicious the existence of natural bush of C.rosaeflora as it can merely make seeds. I tried to cross C.rosaeflora to "Kurotsubaki".But it cannnot make seed at all.

Sorry, I made a mistake. The shape of the flower of 2nd photo is "Yagura-saki" not "Ro-saki" The stamens exist not only in the flower centre but also between the duplicated petals. The old camellia lovers compare the side appearance with wooden watch tower "Yagura".
