This is the smallest hellebore I've ever seen. I was curious last year, but it has remained the same in relatively good cultural conditions. It's only about 4-5 inches tall even when the leaves appear. The tiny flowers are about a half inch in diameter.

How lovely, so cute. I like the green centre and purple edges to the sepals. What species is this Joseph?

Dee, it is actually a hybrid. Pollen parent:
Pod parent (left)
Just for comparison, here is another plant from the same pod parent (different pollen of course). It is also short but with large flowers:

Very nice Joseph. I wonder how they would do in planters? It would afford "up close" examination of them, wouldn't it?
