Our hellebore exhibition was held from February 22 through February 24 in Ikebukuro, Tokyo. Please enjoy the photos which I took at the convention hall.

What a wonderful Exhibition, it looks like it must have been a great success. I remember you posting similar photos like the last one a year ago when Joseph visited.

I've never seen such beautiful and original ways of displaying hellebores before!

Toshio, congratulations on that great event! I think we have no idea of all the work involved in organizing such an exhibition. Everything has to be in perfect shape exactly on time. How many visitors did you have and were there any lectures about hellebores and hellebore culture? How does the local/regional/national press cover your exhibition? I like photos two and three most but I'm glad to see that other tastes are also served. Excellent!

These photos do conjure up fond memories. :-) I only wish I had more time next week, but unfortunately I likely won't get to see a hellebore (or Toshio) this time around. :-( Maybe I'll get lucky and see them in one of the many flower shops on the street; I was amazed how many one could find for sale around the city. I'll have my camera in tow just in case. Glad to see it was a success Toshio! Good job.

Wow! What a fantastic exhibition...one to be proud of. It is amazing to see all those hellebores in so many different containers. It certainly gives us an idea of different ways to display our hellebores. Thanks for sharing with us Toshio

Thank you everyone for your comments on our exhibition. Terry, you have a very good memory. Matthias, we had over 3,500 visitors on the first day. But, the result on the last day was miserable due to the very cold and strong wind which stopped some trains. Three hellebore nursery owners gave their lectures about hellebores to visitors and the lecture was given twice a day. Unfortunately no press covered our exhibition. Joseph, I hope you will come again next year. A surprise at the exhibition was that we could see the flowering H.vesicarius for the first time. It says H.vesicarius looks like an Italian parsley. But, please do not eat it because it is poisonous. It grows slowly and takes several years to see the flower. It likes dry weather and is dormant in summer and so on.

Someone is doing a great job growing that H.vesicarius! I was lucky enough to see Tim's in person when I visited him in February and they are so beautiful. The color of the flowers is something special. I posted before, but if missed, look at the colors
