They look fantastic! Looks like it was a beautiful day to be out working in the garden.

They look like very happy hellebores. If you are responsible for their care, then Congratulations! I wish mine would grow as beautifully...

I completely understand Moira; sadly that first plant is not mine. ;-)

Moira, how about asking the owners if you can have some seeds of that first one in May/June? That plant must set hundreds of seeds.

Better than it has been Terry. I wanted to take pictures of them sooner but they kept getting flattened by the rain!
Thankyou but I cannot take responsibility for all of it Mara. The soil and dappled shade they get from surrounding trees has as much to do with their wellbeing as anything I do.
It is a stunner isn't it. I thought I didn't like doubles until I saw that one.
I can! Problem is last year they dropped so quickly as our Spring was so hot that I missed them. I scrabbled around in the soil but found so few seeds I didn't think it was worth it. This year I will hopefully get some and try in my garden but it is not ideal for hellebores. No tree cover so also no rich leaf mulch. I also have the prospect of having to dig them up and dispose of all of them! The present owners are leaving and the new people are rose fanatics and may well ask me to dig all my hard work up to plant roses!
