I saw it this Soring. " MODESTY" Saw it in person. Found it online after.www.merrifieldgardencenter.com Write in MODESTY in the search. I think maybe. next Spring I shall get it. Its just SO unusual. In person. you dont see a face. So. If could be male of female. It would look so cool with Snow in it. It was shown in the shop on a pillar. I really and truely DON'T need one more garden statue. I still have to move another winged creature from where I was working. BUT>>>>>> Its just so cool.

I have some statuary...an angel, cherubs, St. Francis of Assisi, etc. I did recently buy the life-size dachshund as one of my sister's Christmas gifts. I like the "Modesty" one too but it is really quite formal for my more cottage style plantings, etc.

Somehow I missed this thread. I like Modesty very much,Mimi and have quite a bit of statuary in my garden as well. My "current" favorite piece, purchased this year is a very English looking rabbit, wearing spectacles and reading a book. If you purchase Modesty would love seeing pics of her in your garden.

the first rabbit is a good 18 inches tall and is hefty I dont know what but its hefty Then there is giggles there at the treestump. Another hefty . Everyone needs one of those. And ofcourse. the Griffins. Merv and Not Merv. They were at my front porch at my other house. which worked good at a Victorian. Out here on the farm.....They get some looks. Freaked out my Landlord at first. I think he wanted to shoot them.

My favorite statue is in my garden --she is called Louisa and was bought by friends. I helped them decorate their home back in 2003 and they bought her for me. I have a light shining on her in the evenings and love to see her back in the garden as I pass through the back windows. She reminds me of myself as a little girl, I even remember having shoes like hers. I think she is one of a group done of children skipping across a pond, but I only have her:
