I finally posted pictures of some of my garden decor in my garden album. The items in the first four photos have entertaining acquisition stories (just click on their photos; the stories are written below the photos). Click Here to See My Garden Decor

You have some very charming garden decor,DJ. I especially like the rain gauges. They are pretty as well as functional.

Thank you, Tammy. I really like the rain gauges, too. They remind me of some old glass candy dishes that my grandmother used to have.

I like the wishing well and think a cottage garden like you describe would look really good around it. Sharon

Thanks, Sharon. That poor wishing well has been pretty neglected since we moved here. Every year I think about planting flowers around it and instead it ends up getting moved off into some forgotten part of our property. This was the first year it actually stayed in one place. It's sort of hidden, so out of sight, out of mind. LOL. I just recently came up with the idea of planting a red, white, and blue flower garden around it. I am going to make that a goal for next year... and actually really try to follow through for once.

Thank you, Bill. I guess I am sort of in the country, relatively speaking. We are only a couple of miles from town and there are some new houses around us on one-acre lots, but we are mostly surrounded by reservoirs, conservation land, and other people with acreage more on the scale of ours. It is very quiet here for the most part.
