Until I get a chance to look for a new fountain I started wondering if I could do something to the old wall fountain to make it stable enough to sit on the ground and look like it was always meant to be there. Or would it just look stupid?

This is what it looked like hanging on the old garage. Btw, it's pretty heavy.

That is so What a kewl find!
Maybe you might want to think of moving it to another wall first.... or lower, or higher, than changing it ???? it looks like you can hear it perfect from where you have it now??? Just a thought. Can you show a distance picture? Its QUITE nice as I am sure you are aware of. WOW! I have fountain envy

Cindy with the back of it being flat maybe you could push it up against an evergreen shrub or similiar then it would look alright. Is the bottom flat as well? You could lift it slightly off the ground, stand it on a log or stone so it wouldn't look too low down and then grow something around it. Just my thoughts.

Mimi, both the garage and screened porch in that pic are gone. They were demolished when we built the addition last year. We were planning on putting the fountain on a new exterior wall, but ran into all sorts of problems trying to get the electrical set up. Wanted to be able to turn it on with the flip of a switch. When it was hanging on the garage Mike simply drilled a hole in the wall and stuck the cord through. Then all we had to do was plug it in to use it. Fine for the garage, but that wouldn't work in the house.

Moira, right now I don't even have beds dug where I'd look to put it. (We're trying to finish this reno first). So it'll be a while before there's any foliage to help make it look like it belongs. The bottom is flat. It'll need some support behind it because of the weight. I thought about placing rocks around it, but I need to figure out some way to keep it steady.

Thanks for trying to help me figure this out.
