I saw this at a nursery yesterday, too expensive for me to buy unfortunately but I loved looking at it. I think the plants are Oxalis Dark Dancer, Begonia Bonfire, Coleus The Flume, Gartenmeister Fuchsia and a non stop begonia.

Luxembourg in Paris, it took me this long to remember the name. I'm loosing it. Sue, you could probably put something like that together for next year. A lot of those plants are pretty easy to overwinter or something similar is easy to substitute. I did the fuschia one year. That didn't look so great after winter but I was surprised how easy it was to grow after trying to grow the large flowered types years ago. Even easier was cape fuschia. Around here, these are considered fancy annuals and can be found in the $3 range if one looks around. How much did they want for the pot?

Wow, those are awesome plant arrangements, and Paris looks like it is a gorgeous place! My brother told me after I asked him if it was as romantic as they say it is? And he said, "Yes".

Hello, I'm new but I wanted to share one of my pots that's all orange too.
This is one of those strange begonias I'd never seen before and had to have and some orange striped impatients.

Hello Seil. Your begonia looks very much like 'Bonfire'. I love your pot!

Welcome Seil, I'm glad you said that was a begonia or I never would have suspected it was. Very nice colors. Mary

Thank you, Kniphofia. I think it may be Bonfire. It looks a lot like the one in your picture. I picked the turquoise pot because I thought it would set the orange off nicely. Goswimmin, I had no idea it was a begonia either when I saw it at the nursery. I actually thought it was a fucshia of some sort at first. When I read the tag and it said it was a begonia I had to have it.

Hello Seil! It seems funny how orange is coming up in a few threads. Before you posted this, I was going to start a thread on orange. It's a love it, hate it color, sometimes hard to work with but it gives the garden a lot of impact. It's the kind of color that is noticeable from across the yard.

I'm so pleased with my pot this year and that begonia is obviously a winner with alot of us. There are mainly gazanias and bidens in my pot. I love it.

How neat that the begonia is the common thread. It is certainly a pretty thing. Seil I love those cute little impatiens. They look so healthy and not spotted up like mine seem to get. Ann, your pot is so pretty. I am not normally an orange person but have been drawn to it more and more lately in the garden. I have some of the gazania this year too and I have just fallen in love with them.

I know what you mean, Loretta, orange just seems to have taken my fancy this spring. Nearly all the new roses a got were oranges too! Great pot, Ann, the gazania's are so sunny and cheerful. Thanks Suzy, I got those impatiiens at Meijer's of all places and on the cheap too! They had at least a half dozen different colors in the striped ones and they stood out amongst the tables full of impatiens.

Funny, but I've been telling my sister, who says she hates orange, for more than a year now that orange will be the next "in" color. At the Chelsea Flower Show, one of the most striking roses was orange with many shades of it -- both light and deep, deep, almost-red shades. It was Pat Austin, and gorgeous.

I saw this at the gas station today, what a nice idea to combine hibiscus with petunias, and I love the color combination!

Those gazanzias are very pretty BTW. I didn't grow any this year. I'll have to remedy that next year. Bidens too. I just realized I have a picture of a pot I did from a couple of years ago that will fit here:
After that year, I filled that pot with hens and chicks but I did get a cute little seedling that was a nice variation on the parents. No Begonias though.

Oh, my word, Loretta, how cute is that?! I've never seen a purple and orange viola. Where did you find that? Even the second gen is adorable. And everyone else's pots... well, what's not to love?! I love orange. I wish they would make a hardy orange hibiscus to match the one in Sue's pic. And I love Begonias, PERIOD. I remember reading somewhere that orange was the "in thing" in gardens these days, and I remember wondering what had taken everyone so long to get to that point. LOL Oddly enough, though, I don't have much orange in my garden. :-O

Oh, wait, I just Googled orange and purple violas and found 'Jolly Joker'. Is that it? I've heard of that and never bothered to follow through and see what it was. How funny!

No it isn't Jolly Joker. I grew that before and it is a little larger flower but still small for a pansy. Also out of the whole pack of seeds, only two germinated and from those, neither were as perfectly marked as the pictures so I gave up on Jolly Joker. This is Sorbet orange duet. I have been able to find it by the flat for the last couple of years. This one had been more consistent until this year where the purples were washed out.

Goegeous viola! That looks great even just on it's own. I'm really getting to like orange more and more but admit is can be difficult to place in a garden. I have a border that is mainly blue, yellow and white but a few spots of bright orange would look good there....
