I keep this one in my house during the winter. It's a huge pain, but I love it and it's so worth it. I took cuttings from my Mother's flower pot. Its common name is Brazilian Plume Flower, although in my local nursery it's mistakenly called Lion's Bane. Its botanical name is Justicia carnea 'Huntington.'

That is very pretty. Do you overwinter yours?

Yes I do, Loretta. I just took several cuttings so I can plant more of them next year, outdoors. This is a plant that doesn't make seeds.

It looks very tropical and exotic. I like it. I don't have much luck with over wintering things but I have a plumbago this year that I might try and keep.

Seil, plumbago is hardy here in my zone 5.

Oooh! Beautiful Gloria.

I'm very fond of Justicia carnea, too.
Here in zone 8, they are marginally hardy,
and will grow back from the rootstock -
so long as winter isn't unusually rough.

Still, I do root cuttings every year
and hold them over in the glasshouse
. . .. . . just in case.

Don't you find it interesting that it doesn't produce seeds?
