Spring Hill took a bad rap when their parent company folded 2 years ago. I have avoided ordering from them but in a recent catalog there was a Lace Hankerchief iris (http://springhillnursery.com/product.asp?pn=04770) I just had to have and some coworkers wanted a few other things. So I placed the order and the plants arrived today in fantastic condition. Very well packed in well labled sturdy plastic containers. They are healthy green plants and decently sized for the money. The irises each have a 3-4 inch fan. I just thought you'd like to know.

Since this is the time for ordering from catalogs, I looked at this gallery and saw your post Arlene. Last Spring, this company advertised a $25.00 coupon--you didn't have to buy $25.00 worth. So, you could get $25.00 worth of things free. I ordered some chrysanthemums, peach bellflower and a couple of other things and I was impressed too! Very well-packed and healthy plants. It would be nice to see if they make a turnaround.

Arlene, it has been a few years. How has your Lace Handkerchief iris grown? I have always admired that Iris but was afraid to order because of their reputation.

Well Audrey now that you mention it, no I don't believe it ever grew. I did not know it had a bad reputation.
