I have been looking at purchasing one of these for starting seeds (hubby hates pots sitting everywhere...LOL)

Any drawbacks or hints (comments!!)?Upload

Jane, you are from Ontario and this photo is from a deck outside, so inside, as you wrote, is where you would put this.

My thought is this is one lovely place for your seeds as long as it is by a window, and by the time your clematis seedlings emerged, your weather would be kindly for outside growth. I do love this idea and can now see how I can put plastic around my shelves in my solarium that my grandchildren use as their alternate playroom.
Darts and plastic bullets would do a number on the emerging seedlings, but protection with plastic would be just the ticket.

Jane, I love this idea, and hope hubby approves!

Why purchase one of those when you can build one with PVC and a little plastic that can be stronger that that one. Eltel is right where are you going to put all those climbing plants? Also depends if you are just starting a couple of plants or will store them there?

well, I got one of these - birthday present from my parents. And it seems to be working quite well. No more pots sitting around the house. I can put 8 plastic trays in quite nicely as it has 4 shelves. I have it sitting in front of a window that gets alot of sun and have some seeds germinated already..woohoo!

When it is time, I'm just going to wheel this contraption outside.

As for clematis, I have enough room in the other spots that I have been using..no worries there! LOL
