I am still interested in any plans , thoughts or photos of Greenhouses made from old windows . I have quite a few windows left over from "reno" projects and they look like good candidates for a project . Any thoughts ? Barry

Hi Barry, My husband built my greenhouse from old windows. It turned out great! See link for pics: http://www.picturetrail.com/gallery/view?p=999&gid=238126&uid=107739&member s=1 The four foundation blocks went on top of styrofoam so the greenhouse "floats" with the ground as it freezes and thaws. No pressure cracks to date. DH glued the glass to the wood then framed it with more cedar. Venting temperature-controlled window openers and fence-mount sprinkler system (FAR cheaper than a regular GH misting system) came from Lee Valley tools. We also eventually ran natural gas to it and bought a portable NG heater on Ebay for $225.00. Only use it for 3-4 weeks in early spring, then remove and cap the line before the sprinklers are required. We have our house up for sale now and I'll REALLY miss my greenhouse (and gardens). Another is definitely on the list for the new place, though we'll probably go with a hoop/plastic structure next time. Have fun, and good luck! Taryn
