I have a triangular shaped area between the house and the front ramp. For many years I toyed with the idea of a greenhouse. Last week saw a posting on the recycled materials section of large pieces of glas, so Saturday I picked up (2) slicing door panels and (4) 34 x 54, 1/4" glass. I will be able to create a small 13 1/2 foot long solar type greenhouse; 8 feet on one end, 3 feet on the other. As I can get pine from work free (up to 16 feet), my only cost will be the hardware. Mostly this will be used for overwintering my large fuschia, and datura/brug collection. Will use a thermal storage system to reduce heating needs in winter. This will also cover the front window so I'll be able to enjoy some bit of the garden thru winter. All in all; this is to be a grand experiment. Luckily I have a CAD/CAM program to figure out all the angles.

Wow, that sounds great. Pictures, we need pictures start to finish. I started out with a small harbor freight greenhouse and now have a 20X8.5 and its still not big enough.lol It sounds like building this is going to be great fun. Wish I was that cleaver. Linda

Second big score yesterday. In the scrap wood yard at work I got 6 sheets of aluminum clad 1/2" plywood, a few screwholes, but this is expensive material!
