i spend most of my time in the garden recipe section so have been sharing my pics there, but i thought any iris lovers might enjoy a walk in my garden yesterday. right now the medians and arils are beginning to bloom. i don't leave my pics up for very long, if you see red x's i have already deleted them... http://www.gardenbuddies.com/forum/messages/4272/111151773.html

Jain you crossed over! I did not see these ones. Nevermind your flowers the whole area is stunning. Your flowers, your gardens, your view. A real feast for the eyes.

thank you moira for your kind words! i see the cross over was rather quiet, which is why i play in the kitchen more! if you like iris i am just going to keep adding to that thread for now, i just posted a bunch more this morn. i had 1200 varieties of iris, but gophers took their toll and i am missing at least 50% in the last 2 years... hope to see you back in the kitchen!

Now this is weird. I swore I saw a bunch of comments on this thread the other day. My eyes must be tired. Jain, as I said on the cooking iris thread, I've been waiting for these! I can't wait to see my iris (from you) this year!

It would be nice to see these in the various garden categories instead of the Garden Recipes forum. I have quit going there because it is no longer about recipes. I tried to find a recipe there and could not because I could not recall where it was posted or the name of it.

Gloria, I've been looking all over for you! Did you get my email? You won the Artisan Bread book. Do you still want it? If not I'll draw another name. http://www.gardenbuddies.com/forum/messages/4272/111150509.html And don't stay away from the WFD/Cooking forum. Flowers & dishes, and family chat is just part of the sharing process. The Hodge Podge forum was set up for off topic discussions, but I don't have an interest in all of them, nor the time. I like the little tidbits that crop up in the daily cooking forum chat. It would get boring if it were only about food.

i have a large garden and limited time, my friends all at wfd, i choose to share there with those that may comment, as you can see i had very little response here in the iris forum when i have 1000 varieties and have posted 100s of pics...
there is a specific area just for recipes, under all the headings you see such as soups, desserts etc. that was started by me, just for recipes... the wfd forum and hodge podge are for general chatter. i can't help but notice that you have stopped in numerous times to complain about the chatter in the recipes forum... this group is coming on our one year anniversary, its been a wonderful learning and growing experience for those that post there. there is a place for everyone at gbs, i am and avid gardener, but i am learning from the other chefs, i see nothing wrong with discussing all hobbies and interests with the others that post there daily...
almost all recipes in our wfd group are posted in the recipes section, if you are looking for something specific thats where you should start. if not, ASK us, everyone is very happy to share or help...

Yes, sometimes it's disappointing when posts aren't given a lot of attention. Hey, If not Iris Gallery, how 'bout Garden Gallery? I hope, I hope, I hope she will. :)}

My apologies, Cindy. No, I didn't get the e-mail. Please just go ahead and draw someone else's name.

Sometimes we All don't get attention on our posts but you know what? How important is that? The joy is growin' it and then sharing it. Maybe it's a lesson for us to learn if we "get little response."(myself included) Besides is hundreds of photos more important than 1 or 2? No. I feel sad that Gloria said she's leaving. I think it's because of this post.

Denise, I just saw Gloria's post about leaving. Doesn't make any sense. Gloria, I'm sure you're not reading this, but I'll take you at your word and give the book to someone else. Sorry for whatever happened.
