I just bought 2 iris from Loves, I believe they are the bearded type. I planted them on the short slope of my front yard and one bloomed Monday but was completely wilted by Wednesday! Surely they should last longer than this! The soil is moist and it gets several hours of sun, although soon it will get less as the tree fills out.
My neighbor has long lasting blooms on his iris that are planted just under the oak tree and get very little if any sun, so I had thought maybe I should move them to a shadier spot, but then I read Iris love the sun. so. I'm at a loss. Can anyone help.
thank you
