Hi Suzyqt, Does that first one smell like rootbeer? I ask because my sisters has one like that and we have been searching for a name for that one. I believe it is a historic Iris. I really love the second one. rhon

Hi Rhon, Now that you say it..I went back and looked at the irises that Mike suggested might be your sisters and I think mine IS Grand Canyon. There is a good possibility I actually got this from Mike at plant swap a couple of years ago. Maybe he will chime in here :-). It has what I would call a dark orchid color. I will have to sniff it tomorrow. Not sure about a scent. http://www.garden-of-mu.com/irises/iris-mug-frame.HTML

I can see the differences too Jain. The lady who gave them to me gave me that name (among others)...and nothing else looked even close, but not sure where she got the names from. Doesn't really matter the name..because it is really really pretty. Pacific Shores could be right though. Really hard to tell from photos though isn't it.

Wellllll...I wouldn't immediately have said rootbeer, but with the suggestion put in my head I can see how you might say that. Lemony rootbeer. I am actually now leaning more toward one on Mike's site called Tournament Queen. The beard color looks right. Who knows!

Hi Susan, great flower pictures. The top one is an antique variety that I don't know the name of. The second one is painted pictures, and the last one is wild ginger. Street walker is a very loud pink and purple one. When it blooms there won't be any question as to what it is. So glad to see they are blooming for you. Karen
