Above all my favorite flower. I first learned to enjoy these beauties when I was only 12 years old. Sitting on the back porch of my Grandparents home and looking out into the back yard I didn't know what they were, so I asked my Grandma and she told me. I have been a fan of these delicate yet strong flowers ever since.

Thank you everyone for making me feel at home here. I have been a gardener for a long time. Over the years I developed a large collection of pressed flowers as every time I saw a flower, I saved it. A thought came my way one day and from there I created what is now a growing gallery of my art pieces, using flowers.
Here's what I do with petals from flowers. To see more, go to my website:

Out of every thorn or sticker, there is a beautiful view. First bloom for my rock garden cactus. I had to drive about 8 miles on the Great Divide to get these. Dug them up, put them in a plastic bucket and used cooking tongs to place them in the areas I thought would make my garden have a variety. My focal point in my rock garden is a two teared whiskey barrel water fountain. The different rocks are from collecting each one as I traveled to different states. Kind of like "Lucille Ball" in the movie,'The Long Long Trailer'. hehehe
