You have stunning irises here. I'll show one of mine. This is Iris sibirica, very modest and spreads so rapidly that is going to fill my garden!

They look fantastic massed like that! They look like a variety near to the species - those are the ones I like best, too, because they flower so well. But what happens in that area when they are finished?

Well, they have nice leaves even after flowering. And nearby Ligularias, Aconitums and Lythrums among others start to flower after the irises.

That is what I like about this type of iris - the leaves are graceful even when the plant isn't in bloom. That is a show.
