Perhaps someone can offer a substitute for chick grit. I am going to grow some cyclamen from seed and it is suggested to use chick grit mixed into the soil. Unfortunately, where I live, I can not find it (not many farms left in this area anymore). Can perlite be a substitute or vermiculite?
